New: In-App Tours That Onboard Every Role — No Training Session Required

A whole-school rollout has a math problem. You get one staff-meeting slot to train two hundred people — teachers, counselors, admins, and eventually parents — each of whom will use TEX completely differently.

The training session can't carry that weight. So the app now does it instead. This release adds role-scoped onboarding tours: guided, in-app walkthroughs that meet every user in their first session and show them exactly — and only — what their role needs.

A different tour for every role

TEX now ships welcome tours for seven different roles. A counselor's first session walks their caseload and communication tools. A teacher lands in their classes and assessments. An org admin sees setup and reporting. A parent gets a calm introduction to what they can see about their child's journey.

No generic "here's a button" tour. Each step is written for what that person is actually there to do.

Discovery that continues after day one

Beyond the welcome tours, three feature-discovery micro-tours introduce specific areas the first time a user reaches them — contacts, events, and communications. Instead of front-loading everything into one overwhelming walkthrough, the app teaches each area at the moment it becomes relevant.

Tour progress saves per user and syncs across tabs, so nobody sees the same tour twice — and finished tours stay out of the way for good. The tour machinery only loads when a tour actually needs to run, so there's no performance cost for everyone else.
